Of course, a low price wouldn’t mean much if the product didn’t work. In our experience, this spray was very effective on most cats. However, it seemed to have almost no effect on certain cats, so performance is hit or miss at best.

While some of the sprays we tested had harsh odors that would stick to anything you sprayed, the Pet Organics no-scratch spray is a low-odor formula that we couldn’t smell at all. It also leaves no stains, making it safe for applying on furniture, walls, and anywhere else your cat happens to scratch. We love the combination of low price and high performance, so if this product worked with every cat we tried it on, it probably would have topped our list.

And worst, some cats seemed to actually like the odor and were attracted to it more than before we sprayed it! Even for the cats that it worked with, it wore off very quickly. This meant we had to reapply it every day if we wanted to keep the cats from scratching.

Luckily, this cat furniture spray product is all-natural, so you won’t be adding a whole bunch of harsh chemicals into the air in your house with all of those re-applications. It’s completely safe for you and your pets, though the warning label says not to spray your cat directly. This spray is on the affordable side of the price spectrum, and the bottle even includes a decent 8 ounces of spray. It didn’t stain any of our furniture or fixtures, but that doesn’t really matter when it only worked on about half the cats we tested it with or less.

This is an important detail because it didn’t work with most of our cats. In fact, some of them seemed to really like this scent and wanted to scratch at it more than before we applied it. For the cats this product worked with, it was only effective for a few hours. We found that morning and evening applications were necessary to achieve the desired results. We found that this product only worked with about a third of the cats we tested it with. It only lasted a few hours before it needed to be reapplied. You get 8 ounces in a bottle, but with so many applications necessary, you’ll run out pretty quickly. It’s a pretty expensive bottle to begin with, so replacing it constantly is going to get pricey.

The non-toxic formula that makes up the Emmy’s Best spray won’t give any adverse reactions with the constant re-applying you’ll be doing. However, it has a strong odor that did add up and became a bit overwhelming after several applications each day. But we only managed to continue this for a couple of days before the pump part of the bottle stopped working. This product is at the bottom of our list because we weren’t impressed with it in the least. We don’t recommend you pick this spray when there are several effective products available that offer a much-improved value.
